Nautel at IBC 2012 Wrap-Up, by John Macdonald

As the newest member of the Nautel sales team, the IBC Congress in Amsterdam this September provided me with my first opportunity to join colleagues in presenting our wide range of advanced products to customers and partners. Both new friends and old acquaintances congratulated me on my recent move to Nautel. It was a wholly satisfying experience.

Nautel-broadcast-transmitters-IBC-2012-stand A good deal of team effort was devoted to setting up a display that would do the Nautel products justice. With a fully-operational, high-power NX Series MW transmitter, the new NVLT Series analog FM transmitters, and the field-proven NV Series and VS Series transmitters on display, it was clear to stand visitors that Nautel has the most complete range of advanced radio transmission technology on the market.

Our commitment to the future of radio broadcasting was further confirmed by demonstrations of unique design features like the unparalleled AUI, Orban Inside, and on site USB audio backup.

Displays of both DRM and HD Radio optimized performance by Nautel transmitters completed the portrait of industry leadership framed by the walls of our stand. Everyone pitched in to make sure that each detail was just right, and our pride really showed.

A highlight was a joint event with the DRM Consortium, hosted in the Nautel booth, at which the new DRM Introduction and Implementation Guide was unveiled by DRM Chair, Ruxandra Obreja and Editor, Nigel Laflin.

This event attracted a large and interested crowd, and served to further solidify Nautel’s coveted market position.

An exciting new development was the eagerly awaited introduction of the NT100, Nautel’s entry into digital UHF television broadcasting, with a 100 W low-power, UHF transmitter operating on the air.

Our established customers were very pleased to see this product coming from a company they count on for professional support, and this September surprise raised more than a few eyebrows with industry watchers and friendly competitors.

Stay tuned for more exciting news on the new Nautel digital TV channel.

The combination of so much positive customer feedback, so many advanced, high-quality products, and such welcoming interaction from my enthusiastic Nautel teammates made me very proud to be part of the Nautel team.

I am very happy to be on board, as I am looking forward to diligently serving our customers and representing Nautel at industry events in the exciting years ahead.
