Nautel Introduces Industry’s Most Complete Solid State FM Transmitter Series with Seven New NV Models With power outputs ranging from 3.5kW – 44kW, customers in any FM power category can now take advantage of NV Series’ unique capabilities including integrated exciter, Advanced User Interface(AUI), HD readiness and compact footprints.
January 28, 2009
Hackett’s Cove, Nova Scotia; Bangor, Maine and Quincy, Illinois -- Nautel Limited today announced the broadcast industry’s most complete line of solid state FM transmitters with the addition of seven new NV Series models. Building on the overwhelming customer response to the company’s groundbreaking 44kW NV40, Nautel now offers FM output power ranging from 3.5 kW to 44 kW with the following product models: NV3.5; NV5; NV7.5; NV10; NV15; NV20; NV30 and the flagship NV40. These products offer cost effective solutions for stations operating at virtually any FM power output level. NV Series transmitters are already shipping and on-air; Nautel will host NV Series introduction webinars on Friday, February 6th at 12 noon and 3 PM EST. Those wishing to attend a webinar may register at www.nautel.com.
Already on track to become one of the most successful families in the history of broadcast with more than 170 units sold in just a few months, the NV Series products offer these unique capabilities:
· Advanced User Interface – Providing more control with access from virtually anywhere, the AUI increases station efficiency by making it easy for engineers to monitor and control their Nautel transmitters. Unlike other manufacturers that add enhanced controls only to the exciter subsystem, Nautel provides a control system with an advanced 17” touch screen interface that manages the whole transmitter and multiple exciters.
· Real time instrument grade spectral analysis – Engineers can quickly ensure that their station’s signal is crystal clear and optimized for digital broadcast.
· Designed for digital operation – All NV Series transmitters are digital-ready, allowing a simple plug-in Exgine upgrade to HD Radio broadcasting.
· Adaptive precorrection which provides exceptional linearity and IBOC transmission with no need for costly filters.
· Common modules across the product line – a plus for customers with multiple transmission sites, Nautel’s power module building block allows users to swap modules from one transmitter to another and reduces the number of spares to keep on hand.
“We’re very excited to announce these new transmitters which extend the NV capabilities across a broad range of medium and high power requirements,” said Peter Conlon, Nautel President and CEO. “With these introductions, customers now have a real choice for economical and compact solid state transmitters, with features that simply were not available before in these power classes. It’s a major step forward as Nautel enters its 40th year in business.”
As part of Nautel’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the company is offering a five year warranty on all NV and NX Series transmitters purchased during 2009, including any of the models announced today.
The NV Series transmitters will be prominently featured at booth #N7016 at the upcoming NAB show. Further information on the new NV Series transmitters may be found at www.nautel.com/expectmore.
